Writtle Broadband Coalition

GOOD NEWS
New Meeting date March 12th

The Writtle Broadband Coalition  has been formed to spearhead an entry to The EEDA Broadband Funding Competition.  The Coalition is led by Simon Norburn (Chairperson) and supported by Guy Seinet (Writtle College), David Woodward (Writtle Parish Council), Jan Przybyla (DOW).
The Coalition has the official support as Village entry from the Parish Council and Writtle College.
The first stage entry has been submitted and we are now preparing the detailed submission.
To gauge total village interest in gaining Broadband for the Village a Public Meeting will be held on March 12  2003 commencing 7.30 pm in the Wriitle College Lordship  Lecture Theatre.
We intend to leaflet the Village prior to the meeting so that the meeting is well publicised.
Please pass on by word of mouth.  We need demonstrate the extent of the support in the Village.
If you cannot attend please register your need for Broadband  at
www.bt.com/broadband

Visit www.demandbroadband.com  and register.  This site has been set up by the East of England Development Agency (EEDA) who are trying to coordinate interest in Broadband in the East of England.  There is also a reasonable amount of money ~£3.8 million available for funding broadband schemes in local areas  deemed unsuitable by BT , e.g Writtle via  competition.

The closing date has been extended to April 2003 so lets get to it!

Still register as below on the BT site

Last time I looked into this subject, BT had their knickers in a twist and all the registration of interest web site sent you to somewhere into the ether. That has now been fixed and now does allow you to register your interest in broadband.
So go to www.bt.com/broadband  and register your interest.
