Community Policing 'WRITTLE' style

Introduction by the Editor of disgruntled of writtle

Some of my regular readers may recall the the report on the Parish Meeting, earlier this year when it was reported that we would get a view on policing from the community police side.

Well it has
arrived! The reason for it's tardiness should become apparent to the reader.

Some photographs are to follow so that we can 'recognise' him when we see him.  These will be added as soon as they arrive.

I have not edited the article, but I have divided it into four parts, to ease reading.

Part 1  A bit about your local Bobby ! (PC 1389)
Part 2 Community Policing in Chelmsford

Part 3 A typical working day in the life of PC1389 Adams

Part 4 Summary
The article makes some very interesting observations and points about community policing in Writtle.
The article is a bit on the long side but I felt any reduction in content, would effect its impact.
I would welcome any comments on this article and these can be made by fax 07092 336131 or email to

PC Adams has promised a review article every few months which we will be pleased to publish.
